As a revision of the current ways of co-housing, this project seeks a new way of living together involving two dwelling units to be constructed under a single roof.

The house contains a cluster of common and private spaces with shared facilities. The dwelling structure is organized vertically in which the private functions are located at the top of the house and the common functions at the bottom. One single diagonal wall separates the two dwelling units. The smaller unit offers an intimate yet open space for the visitor whilst the owner of the house inhabits the larger unit. The house presents itself as an open house that awaits a temporary resident.

This project aims to search for a housing scheme that can be made available and affordable for individuals that look for a temporary place to stay. Whilst also thinking about the re-use of existing buildings and enhancing social cohesion.
